Ever see a girl from across the room and just have NO idea what to say to her? Same for the guy in this short film. Be sure to watch to the end.

The advice in this video might not be the best, so try these tips instead:

• Do comment on the situation at hand. It’s probably the simplest thing the two of you have in common, so why not bring it up. Finding something funny about your circumstances and cracking a quick joke to her is a great way to start.
• Don’t just compliment her unless you can steer the conversation towards something else.  “You look fine,” is sort of a dead end that will creep her out. “Whoa, great shoes,” can at least lead to a conversation in which you learn where to get some new high tops.
• Do ask her a question. It can be almost anything as long as you’re not being creepy. Put something out there that might help her open up to you. All you’re looking for is an opportunity to talk to her. Ask away!
