Sometimes asking her out on a traditional date can be a bit much. Maybe you two don’t know each other that well yet. Maybe it’s not time just yet to show your hand and reveal how interesting you find her. Maybe you just need a chance to show her how fun you are to be around. You can save some of our best (and better) dates for later on and start getting some quality time with her through a non-date. Here is what to ask for:
- Asking her out on a Non-Date is the same as two friends hanging out. There are no looming overtones of romance. It’s more of a friendly gesture that the two of you spend some time together. But it’s the perfect way to get your foot in the door.
- Your options include:
- Study together for an upcoming test. “You want to study together sometime this weekend? We could hang out at my house and go over flash cards or something.”
- Check out the next episode of a TV show you both like. “We should totally watch the next episode together.”
- Hang out with a bigger group of friends. “Yeah a few of us were going to Great Adventure, you should come.”
- Exercise together. “Hey, you want to go for a run together this weekend? I could use a buddy for motivation.”
- Pros:
- Non-Dates keep the pressure of asking her out to a minimum.
- It shows you’re interested in spending time with her, not just going through the motions to get in her pants.
- She’s more likely to accept because it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
- Cons:
- Too many Non-Dates and you’re headed to The Friend Zone.
- If you can’t muster the balls to ask her on more than just Non-Dates she might feel like she’s not special enough for anything more.
