So I used to be very friendly with this girl in the grade below me for a while, but after some necessary class changes I began seeing her less in school so we never really committing to being anything more than casual acquaintances. However, I’ve always been interested so last night I pulled the trigger and we hooked up at a party, nothing special just second base. I wouldn’t mind pursuing this further to see where things go whether that means a relationship or just more action, so how should I go about doing this? 24-hour rule? Longer? Call or text? Being older than her carries a lot of weight at my school, so I think I have an advantage there. Thanks for the well-appreciated help!

“Oh. Don’t give me a hickey. That would be so high school.” Truer words were never whispered in my ear!
Hickeys (especially on the neck) are like a merit badge of high school that everyone seeks to wear at one point or another. Giving and getting them is often one of those stepping-stones of discovering your sexual interests.
You can get all sciency about the cause of hickeys or the cure, but we want to pull apart what makes them awesome and what makes them awful. Let’s think about the consequences (good and bad) and you can figure out for yourself whether you will suck neck with slightly less pressure in the future.
A big part of being in high school is never really feeling like you have your own private space. But just because your parents always come around to make sure your bedroom door is open and a little sibling storms in whenever you think everyone else in the house is asleep doesn’t mean all hope is lost. In circumstances like these many return to the classic – like hooking up in a car. So what do you need to know on the subject?
HUSH has tweeted a lot about this photograph of Scott Jones and his girlfriend, Alexandra Thomas, kissing on the ground in the middle of the riots in Vancouver, British Columbia that arose when the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup last week. The photo of the two of them together (and the story that goes with it) is romantic, hot, and heart warming.
But most importantly it gives us a few really important lessons in terms of relationships:
This is one time where HUSH can fully support public displays of affection (pda). Way to go Scott!
